Print design inspiring children in care
From quarterly magazines, to booklets, flyers, and infographics this charity is one of our longest client relationships
Challenge
To engage with children and young people from different backgrounds and cultures across the UK via predominantly printed material.
Approach
We push the visual boundaries whilst conveying important facts about being in care. Plus our designs sensitively endorse emotional support and understanding.
Solution
When the Become charity changed its name we refreshed the magazines too. We're constantly evolving and improving how they look. We use interesting fonts, colours and pictures to add drama to layouts. We create social media assets to promote the material we produce.
“I actually don’t not like anything about this magazine. It’s my favourite!”
Magazine reader
“Wow the video – where did this come from!? I am so impressed.” + “I agree – really impressive! Congrats.”

Design
For the kids we use bigger and cleaner fonts, with outlined headlines. For the young people we try and be a bit more 'cool' with our choice of images and layout – but not forgetting to keep a sense of fun.
